This contract role acts as the operational backbone for the Discovery Research Coordination team in Ridgefield, keeping day-to-day administrative machinery running smoothly. If you enjoy untangling complex logistics, managing vendor onboarding, and keeping cross-functional projects on schedule, this is a solid gig to get your foot in the door with enterprise-level research operations.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days juggling a mix of financial admin and project tracking—everything from cutting purchase orders in SAP and chasing down invoice statuses to coordinating room reservations, catering, and AV setups for workshops. You will also act as the glue for the team by collecting weekly action items, following up on tactical deliverables, and handling vendor onboarding tasks like Cloud Vendor Risk Assessments and NDAs.
The Core Tech Stack
You don't need to write code here, but you do need to be comfortable navigating enterprise business systems like WeBuy/SAP for purchasing, Microsoft Forms and Outlook for scheduling and feedback, and internal digital signage platforms like PADS. Your success hinges on your ability to pick up new databases quickly and maintain laser-focused attention to detail across multiple concurrent requests.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring manager to ask about a time you had to juggle conflicting priorities from multiple stakeholders and how you ensured nothing fell through the cracks.
