Job Description & Details
This is a hands-on Business Analyst role bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams in the healthcare, pharmacy, or retail spaces. If you enjoy mapping out messy workflows and translating them into crystal-clear functional specs, this gig is worth a look.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days wrangling requirements, talking to stakeholders who know what they want but not how to build it, and writing up BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria. A massive chunk of your time will go toward designing and refining IVR call flows, self-service options, and web application user journeys. You'll work closely with the dev and QA squads to make sure nothing gets lost in translation during sprints, while helping out with UAT and defect triage.
The Core Tech Stack
You need a rock-solid background in standard Business Analysis methodologies, including deep experience writing functional documentation and mapping out end-to-end processes using Jira and Confluence. The non-negotiable differentiator here is hands-on knowledge of IVR systems and web-based applications. The team needs someone who understands how customers interact with automated phone trees and digital platforms, and how to turn those messy user interactions into structured, buildable requirements.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring manager to throw a complex scenario at you involving conflicting requirements from two different business units regarding an IVR call flow redesign; they want to see how you prioritize, negotiate, and protect the project scope. They'll also likely grill you on how you handle vague requirements from stakeholders, looking for a pragmatic approach to writing testable user stories and acceptance criteria without getting bogged down in endless meetings.
Application Advice
Skip the generic corporate summary and tailor your resume to scream 'requirements engineering' and 'domain expertise'. Make sure keywords like BRD, FRD, IVR systems, user stories, UAT, and your specific experience in Healthcare, Pharmacy, or Retail are front and center so you easily punch through the ATS filters.
