Wireless Data Quality (DQ) & Risk and Controls CoE

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This contract role drops you right into the telecom domain, focusing heavily on data governance, risk management, and quality control metrics for wireless operations. If you enjoy untangling messy datasets, chasing down operational discrepancies, and building out remediation plans, this gig will keep you busy and challenged in Columbus.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days acting as the bridge between raw wireless operational data and rigorous governance standards. Expect to monitor data quality metrics, run down root causes when data consistency breaks, and track remediation items across various internal teams. You'll also be putting together status reports, maintaining dashboards, and making sure that every operational process lines up neatly with internal control standards.

The Core Tech Stack

You need a solid foundation in data governance and risk frameworks, paired with domain knowledge of wireless or telecommunications operations. On the technical side, fluency in SQL, advanced Excel, and Power BI are non-negotiable for pulling metrics, visualizing discrepancies, and presenting findings to stakeholders who want clear answers without the fluff.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to test your practical problem-solving by asking you to walk through a scenario where a critical data quality metric drops significantly overnight and you have to find the root cause. They want to see how you systematically trace the pipeline, isolate the failure point, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to push a fix. They will also likely drill into your experience with risk assessments and ask how you handle stakeholders who push back on internal control requirements.

Application Advice

To get past the ATS for this role, ensure your resume heavily features keywords like "Data Quality", "Risk Management", "Control Frameworks", and specific tooling like "SQL" and "Power BI". Don't just list your past job titles; write brief bullet points that emphasize your experience tracking remediation items, conducting root cause analysis, and communicating data findings directly to business stakeholders.
