SAP ATTP Functional Consultant

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting functional role designed for someone who knows pharmaceutical serialization inside and out. You'll be owning the SAP ATTP implementation and ensuring life sciences supply chains stay compliant with global regulations like the DSCSA. It's a high-stakes gig where data reconciliation errors can halt manufacturing lines.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days translating complex business requirements into rock-solid functional designs for serial number management, commissioning, decommissioning, and aggregation. Expect to collaborate heavily with packaging-line systems, contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), and middleware teams. When integration failures or serialization exceptions pop up, you'll be the one leading the root-cause analysis and getting the data streams flowing smoothly again.

The Core Tech Stack

You absolutely must have deep, hands-on expertise in SAP Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals (SAP ATTP) paired with a solid foundation in SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA. Understanding Level 3 and Level 4 serialization systems is non-negotiable because you'll be bridging the gap between SAP and the physical shop floor. Knowing your way around master data configuration for packaging hierarchies and business partners will make or break your daily execution here.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring manager to throw a messy serialization exception scenario at you, asking how you would handle a data reconciliation discrepancy between SAP ATTP and an external CMO system during a live production run. They want to see your troubleshooting methodology and whether you understand the domino effect of failed aggregation events. They'll also likely grill you on specific DSCSA mandates to test your grasp of current compliance timelines and requirements.

Application Advice

Skip the generic project management buzzwords and put your exact SAP ATTP configuration experience right at the top of your resume. Make sure acronyms like DSCSA, S/4HANA, SIT, and UAT are clearly visible to clear the automated screening filters. Highlight specific life sciences implementations where you owned the serialization lifecycle from blueprinting through hypercare support.
