Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-duty backend role focused on hardening Qira into an enterprise-ready platform. You'll be building out core enterprise foundations like identity management, SSO, RBAC, and multi-tenant cloud deployments while occasionally dealing with AI/ML workflows.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days owning complex backend components end-to-end, designing enterprise admin consoles, and connecting the platform to external identity providers and workflow automation tools. Expect to tackle hard architectural problems around data residency, BYOC cloud deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, and debugging multilayer asynchronous workflows. You will also lead code reviews, mentor other engineers, and establish technical patterns that balance shipping speed with stringent enterprise security.
The Core Tech Stack
You need deep expertise in modern backend languages, with mandatory strength in Rust, TypeScript, or Node.js (and bonus points if you know Python, Go, or Java). A rock-solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, APIs, data stores, and cloud deployment is non-negotiable. Familiarity with enterprise authentication standards like SAML, OAuth, and RBAC using tools like Auth0 or WorkOS will be heavily relied upon, alongside infrastructure-as-code and modern AI-assisted developer tools like Cursor.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to grill you on distributed systems resilience, specifically asking how you would design a multi-tenant enterprise data segregation model with zero data leakage. They want to see how you balance architectural purity with delivery velocity, so be prepared to defend your past trade-offs regarding security and scalability. They will also test your deep backend knowledge in your language of choice, likely throwing a concurrency or performance bottleneck scenario at you.
Application Advice
Make sure your resume doesn't just list technologies, but explicitly highlights your end-to-end ownership of enterprise features like SSO integration, RBAC, or BYOC cloud deployments. Weave keywords like Rust, TypeScript, Node.js, SAML, OAuth, and infrastructure-as-code naturally into your experience bullet points so you easily clear the ATS filters without sounding like a keyword stuffer.
