Payroll Analyst

Everforth Apex

Job Description & Details

This role keeps the gears turning on global payroll operations at Everforth Apex, handling everything from new hires to complex tax compliance. If you enjoy untangling complex financial data, dealing with multi-region compliance, and making sure people get paid accurately and on time, this is a solid gig.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days managing end-to-end payroll processing, auditing payroll data for posting accuracy, and preparing journal entries. You'll also field employee questions regarding compensation, taxes, and time-off requests while keeping workflows smooth across different time zones. Expect to troubleshoot time and attendance interfaces, handle garnishments, and process year-end reporting without breaking a sweat.

The Core Tech Stack

You need a strong foundation in Microsoft Excel, solid accounting fundamentals, and hands-on familiarity with modern payroll systems. Knowing your way around ADP Workforce Now or ADP iHCM is a massive plus since they heavily rely on these platforms to manage multi-region timekeeping, benefits, and tax workflows.

Interview Expectations

Expect to walk through a scenario where a payroll discrepancy occurred right before a major cycle and explain how you diagnosed and resolved it. The hiring manager wants to see your methodical approach to auditing and your ability to stay calm under tight deadlines. You'll also likely be quizzed on basic tax and regulatory compliance rules to prove you won't let critical edge cases slip through the cracks.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume clearly highlights your hands-on experience with multi-state or global payroll operations, accounting principles, and specific tools like Excel and ADP. Weave keywords like 'payroll processing', 'journal entries', 'garnishment payments', and 'tax forms' directly into your work history to easily clear the automated ATS filters.
