Scrum Master III

Everforth Apex

Job Description & Details

This is a solid Scrum Master III gig supporting high-visibility Commercial Banking and Capital Markets technology initiatives, specifically focusing on trade and broker-dealer platforms. You will be stepping into an enterprise environment where your ability to drive execution and hold teams accountable matters much more than just scheduling meetings.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days facilitating standard Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups, but the real meat of the job is managing complex cross-functional dependencies. You will act as the primary buffer and advocate for the delivery team, constantly identifying risks and blockers across architecture, product, and vendor ecosystems. Expect to work closely with technical leads to navigate intricate platform architectures while translating high-level business goals into predictable software delivery.

The Core Tech Stack

While you won't be writing code, you need a deep operational understanding of software development lifecycles and modern Agile frameworks. Familiarity with financial services platforms—specifically Trade360 or similar trading systems—is a massive differentiator here. You must also be well-versed in scaling frameworks like SAFe, as you'll be coordinating multiple teams under a larger enterprise umbrella.

Interview Expectations

The interviewers are going to look past your methodology buzzwords and test your spine. Expect them to ask how you handle a scenario where a dependent team repeatedly misses their commitments and blocks your release train. They want to hear about specific conflict-resolution tactics and how you push back on stakeholders without burning bridges. Another favorite line of questioning will revolve around metrics: be ready to explain how you measure team maturity beyond simple velocity.

Application Advice

To get past the ATS filters, make sure your resume heavily features exact phrases from the job description like "complex project dependencies," "cross-functional environments," and "Agile transformation." Don't just list the ceremonies you've run; emphasize the scale of the budgets, team sizes, and financial tech platforms you've supported. Highlight your CSM, PSM, or SAFe certifications right at the top.
