Job Description & Details
This is an operational coordination role sitting at the intersection of legal agreements, engineering, and project management in the energy infrastructure space. If you like keeping complex multi-party deliverables on track without actually swinging a hammer, this gig handles the administrative backbone of power plant interconnections.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your day-to-day will involve translating dense legal speak from Purchase Power Agreements (PPAs) and Interconnection Agreements into actionable milestone trackers. You'll spend a lot of time herding cats across internal construction crews, corporate offices, Transmission Owners, and PPA clients to ensure nothing slips through the cracks. Expect to field regular dashboard review meetings, prep weekly status reports, and wrangle project controls software to keep critical path timelines honest from field turnover to final completion.
The Core Tech Stack
You don't need to write code here, but you absolutely must know your way around project controls software and complex contract interpretation. The hiring team is looking for someone who can comfortably digest dense legal terminology, map deliverables into software tracking systems, and slice data using high-level office productivity suites to present reporting metrics cleanly.
Interview Expectations
When you talk to the hiring manager, expect them to test your ability to handle conflicting priorities between external grid operators and internal site teams. They'll likely ask you to describe a time a critical path deliverable was delayed by a third party and how you recalibrated the schedule. They want to see if you can proactively manage risk and communicate upward before a bottleneck turns into a project stoppage.
Application Advice
Your resume needs to heavily feature keywords like 'contract administration', 'project controls software', 'milestone tracking', and 'infrastructure projects' to get past the initial automated screening. Make sure to highlight any specific experience you have working with utilities, transmission owners, or reading complex technical agreements.
