Enterprise AI Project / Program Manager

Everforth Apex

Job Description & Details

This is a hands-on, long-term contract role wrangling enterprise-level AI initiatives for a massive organization out in Atlanta. If you enjoy bringing order to chaotic technical roadmaps and getting developers, security teams, and product owners to actually speak the same language, this gig gives you a great sandbox to play in without requiring you to write production AI code yourself.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days acting as the glue holding multiple AI workstreams together, keeping a close eye on dependencies, timelines, and roadblocks. Your core routine involves driving quarterly planning, keeping Jira boards surgically clean, tracking SOW financials, and putting together weekly status updates that keep executives happy. You won't just be taking notes; you'll be actively chasing down blockers across infrastructure, security, and application teams to make sure launches actually happen on schedule.

The Core Tech Stack

Jira is your absolute bread and butter here—you need to know it inside and out, from custom workflows and dashboards to everyday ticket hygiene and reporting. Beyond the tooling, your actual tech stack is process and communication. You need enough foundational awareness of software development, infrastructure, and emerging AI tools to bridge the gap between deeply technical engineers and business stakeholders without getting lost in the weeds.

Interview Expectations

When you sit down with the hiring manager, expect them to test your ability to handle ambiguous, fast-moving requirements by asking you to walk through a time you took a messy project and turned it into an execution plan. They want to see how you handle cross-team friction, so be ready to explain a specific scenario where a critical dependency slipped and how you got the engineering and product leads back on the same page. They aren't looking for textbook definitions of Agile; they want proof that you can pragmatically unblock teams under pressure.

Application Advice

To make it past the ATS, your resume needs to heavily emphasize hard metrics around project delivery, scale, and cross-functional leadership. Make sure keywords like 'Jira administration', 'cross-functional coordination', 'dependency management', and 'executive communication' are explicitly peppered into your recent experience bullets rather than buried in a generic skills list. Highlight any background you have managing vendor SOWs or project financials to easily clear their preferred qualifications.
