Hardware Specialist

Everforth Apex

Job Description & Details

This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground role focused on managing retail IT hardware operations, shipping, receiving, and break-fix tasks. If you enjoy building PCs, keeping a warehouse running smoothly, and handling physical IT logistics without sitting behind a desk all day, this is a solid gig.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days moving between logistics and technical troubleshooting. Expect to triage IT service management tickets, unpack inbound carrier deliveries, sort returned hardware for refurbishment or disposal, and physically assemble or repair PCs. You will also be lifting up to 50 pounds, managing asset tracking databases, and keeping the warehouse floor organized and safe.

The Core Tech Stack

You need to know your way around computer hardware, from building custom rigs to diagnosing component failures. Familiarity with IT service management ticketing systems—specifically ServiceNow—is a huge plus. The team relies heavily on these tools to keep retail store operations functioning without missing a beat.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring manager to ask you to walk through a time you troubleshooted a complex hardware failure on a workstation. They are secretly testing your methodical diagnostic approach and how you handle stress when a store location is offline. They might also ask about your experience with inventory management to see if you can maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume explicitly highlights any hands-on PC building, hardware break-fix experience, or logistics work you have done in the past. Weave in keywords like IT service management, asset tracking, ServiceNow, and hardware lifecycle management so your application easily clears the initial ATS filters.
