Engineering Technician

Everforth Apex

Job Description & Details

This is a hands-on Engineering Technician role focused heavily on hardware build, test, and troubleshooting for advanced power delivery and EV systems. If you like working with your hands, debugging circuit boards down to the component level, and collaborating directly with design engineers, this gig gives you plenty of workbench time.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Expect to spend a good portion of your day building complex testing hardware, fabricating and repairing wire harnesses, and safely executing high-voltage enablement procedures. You'll work side-by-side with design teams to spin up custom test setups, troubleshoot stubborn electrical issues, and keep the lab organized so everything runs smoothly when active testing is underway.

The Core Tech Stack

You need to be intimately familiar with reading electrical schematics and operating specialized test and measurement equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes. Precision soldering and component assembly are table stakes here, along with a solid grasp of high-voltage safety standards, especially since you'll be dealing with EV platforms and advanced battery systems.

Interview Expectations

Expect to be grilled on your hands-on troubleshooting methodology. They will likely hand you a scenario involving a dead test circuit and ask, step-by-step, how you isolate the failure down to the component level using your test gear. The hiring manager wants to see a methodical, safety-first approach rather than just shotgun-replacing parts. You'll also likely field questions regarding high-voltage safety protocols to ensure you won't take unnecessary risks in a live lab environment.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume leans hard into your practical lab background rather than high-level theory. Explicitly highlight keywords like electrical schematics, wire harness fabrication, high-voltage safety, and component-level troubleshooting so you easily clear the ATS filters. If you have any specific experience with EV platforms, battery testing, or precision soldering, put those front and center.
