This is a heavy-hitting SAP S/4HANA migration role where you will own the entire Record-to-Report (RTR) workstream, moving clients off legacy ECC systems. You won't just be doing routine configuration; you'll be managing complex Selective Data/Bluefield migrations, aligning finance with operations, and steering critical architectural decisions. If you know your way around Material Ledger and Margin Analysis inside and out, this is where you put those skills to the test.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your days will span everything from running AS-IS/TO-BE workshops with executive stakeholders to rolling up your sleeves for hands-on S/4HANA configuration. You'll lead the finance team through complex integration points connecting General Ledger, Product Costing, and Asset Accounting with modules like Order to Cash and Sourcing & Procurement. Expect to troubleshoot data migration bottlenecks during build, test, and cutover phases while keeping business disruption to an absolute minimum.
The Core Tech Stack
You need deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and the entire RTR workstream, including Accounts Payable/Receivable, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders. Mastery of end-to-end Product Costing and Material Ledger functionality is non-negotiable, alongside a strong grasp of SAP Activate Methodology and embedded analytics. An official SAP S/4HANA certification is expected, as is a proven track record of handling complex data migrations from ECC.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring manager to drill down into your experience with Bluefield or selective data migrations, specifically asking how you handle historical data reconciliation and mapping discrepancies between ECC and S/4HANA target systems.
