Technical Program Manager - Infrastructure

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting infrastructure program management role where you will be running multi-million-dollar, globally distributed technology initiatives from scratch. If you prefer sitting back and updating a static Gantt chart, this isn't for you—the team is explicitly looking for a hands-on leader who can talk architecture with engineers and translate risk metrics to the C-suite without missing a beat.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days wrangling complex, interconnected workstreams that span everything from core data centers and cloud migration to low-latency trading infrastructure and cybersecurity. Expect to own the critical path, untangle cross-team dependencies, and manage executive escalations when conflicting priorities threaten to derail your timelines. You'll also own the financials, forecasting, and resource allocations while driving accountability across globally distributed engineering teams who don't report directly to you.

The Core Tech Stack

You don't need to write code, but you do need deep fluency in enterprise network infrastructure, compute, cloud connectivity, and data center operations. On the tooling side, you live and breathe Jira for tracking, Confluence for documentation, and Power BI for slicing and dicing metrics. Financial services experience or a background in low-latency trading environments is going to be your golden ticket here.

Interview Expectations

Be ready to answer a behavioral question like, 'Tell me about a time you had to push back on a senior engineering stakeholder who wanted to over-engineer a solution.' The interviewer wants to see that you have the technical grit to challenge assumptions without destroying working relationships. You'll also likely get grilled on how you handle budget overruns and scope creep on a live, high-stakes program.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to heavily front-load scale. Don't just list tasks; highlight the dollar amounts, the size of the engineering teams you influenced, and the specific infrastructure domains (cloud, data center, network) you've modernized. Make sure keywords like 'RAID management,' 'RACI,' 'enterprise network infrastructure,' and 'stakeholder influence' are woven naturally into your experience bullets so you clear the ATS easily.
