Lab Service Engineer

Everforth Apex

Job Description & Details

This is a hands-on, 100% onsite support role where you will keep an R&D laboratory running smoothly by maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting complex hardware. If you like getting your hands dirty with electromechanical systems and want to avoid being stuck behind a desk all day, this gig offers a great mix of diagnostics and engineering support.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days executing preventative and corrective maintenance, tracking down stubborn electrical or vacuum system glitches, and keeping critical lab equipment online. Expect to partner closely with engineering teams to set up prototype hardware, run calibrations, and ensure safety protocols are tightly followed while handling hazardous materials or gases.

The Core Tech Stack

You need a solid foundation in electromechanical systems, diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes, and hands-on experience with vacuum, fluidic, or pneumatic systems. Being able to read complex assemblies and use electronic test equipment to isolate failures quickly is what separates a good technician from a great one here.

Interview Expectations

Be ready to walk through a time you diagnosed a complex failure in a multi-system setup without clear documentation, as the hiring manager wants to see your methodical approach to elimination. They will also likely quiz you on vacuum or fluid delivery principles to ensure you understand how pressure differentials and seals fail in high-stakes environments.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume leans heavily into your specific mechanical and electrical troubleshooting chops, highlighting any cleanroom, semiconductor, or R&D lab background you possess. Weave in exact keywords from the listing like preventative maintenance, vacuum systems, and electronic test equipment to sail past the automated screening and land an interview.
