Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-duty Legal Operations Business Analyst role where you will act as the crucial translator between legal business units and IT engineering teams. If you enjoy untangling complex workflows, troubleshooting eBilling systems, and owning issues from intake to resolution, this gig will keep you thoroughly engaged without the usual corporate red tape.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Expect your days to be a mix of operational firefighting and long-term transformation strategy. You will handle daily ticket triage for the eBilling and Matter Management ecosystem, root-cause complex system bugs rather than just putting band-aids on them, and run daily or weekly syncs to keep stakeholders aligned. Beyond support, you'll author User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, run UAT sessions, and wrangle cross-functional priorities into neat monthly and quarterly development cycles.
The Core Tech Stack
You absolutely must know your way around Team Connect and Litify, as these form the technical backbone of the legal ecosystem you'll be supporting. Coupled with that, you need a firm grasp of Agile methodologies, Jira or similar issue-tracking tools, and solid data analysis techniques to translate loose business problems into tight, actionable technical requirements that developers can actually build against.
Interview Expectations
Be ready for scenario-based questions where they present a broken workflow in an eBilling platform and ask you to walk through your root-cause analysis. The hiring manager isn't just looking for a tech wizard; they want to see how you push back on demanding stakeholders and prioritize competing feature requests without burning bridges. Expect them to test your communication chops by asking how you explain complex technical blockers to non-technical legal partners.
Application Advice
Your resume needs to scream domain expertise in legal tech and business analysis. Make sure exact keywords like "Team Connect", "Litify", "User Acceptance Testing", and "Agile methodologies" are prominent in your experience bullets to clear the ATS. Instead of just listing your past responsibilities, frame your past projects around how you bridged the gap between business stakeholders and IT to deliver measurable operational improvements.
