Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting infrastructure project management role requiring someone who knows how to physically and logically build out enterprise spaces. You will be orchestrating complex branch office builds, data center integrations, and corporate real estate moves, often needing to coordinate around off-hours like Friday evenings and Saturdays. If you get excited by physical routing, vendor management, and massive infrastructure migrations rather than just software sprints, this one is worth a close look.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend your days bridging the gap between high-level engineering designs and physical execution. Expect to manage the entire lifecycle of network integrations, from gathering tech requirements and procuring Cisco hardware to scheduling deployments and handling change management tickets in ServiceNow. You will be the primary glue keeping vendors, engineering teams, and business units aligned while tracking deliverables, managing hardware delivery delays, and keeping stakeholders happy with crisp weekly status reports.
The Core Tech Stack
Your bread and butter here will be deep infrastructure knowledge centered around Cisco hardware, switches, routers, WAN, and LAN architectures. You need to speak fluent cabling, cable management, and core networking so you can effectively partner with vendors and internal engineering teams. On the tooling side, you live and breathe Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Visio, and Excel for tracking dependencies, alongside ServiceNow for change management. Having a CCNA or CCNP certification on top of your 10-12 years of experience is a major plus and will instantly build credibility with the engineering leads.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring managers to test your crisis management capabilities by asking how you handle a critical hardware delivery delay from a vendor right before a scheduled data center build-out. They want to see your tactical problem-solving and how you mitigate risk without derailing the entire project timeline. You should also be ready to walk through a past corporate real estate build or business relocation you managed end-to-end, specifically highlighting how you handled stakeholder communication, UAT scheduling, and BAU sign-offs.
Application Advice
To make it past the ATS, ensure your resume explicitly highlights keywords like 'Network Infrastructure', 'Cisco hardware', 'Change Management', and 'Data Center Builds'. Don't just list generic project management methodologies; lean hard into your specific financial services background or hardware vendor experience, as this is a strict requirement for the hiring team. Showcase your mastery of MS Project, ServiceNow, and Agile or Kanban frameworks directly in your recent job descriptions to prove you can hit the ground running.
