Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-duty backend support and migration gig for someone who knows their way around Oracle Cloud Financials and isn't afraid to dive into messy integration logs. You'll be bridging the gap between business users, system integrators, and offshore development teams while keeping mission-critical financial workflows humming across North America and Europe.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend a good chunk of your day diagnosing why reports are crawling, migrating artifacts across environments, and untangling Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) errors during month-end closes. Expect to spend time writing solid technical specs from functional requirements, troubleshooting PTP, RTR, and OTC modules, and acting as the technical glue between third-party vendors, Oracle support, and internal stakeholders.
The Core Tech Stack
Your bread and butter here will be Oracle Cloud Financials (OCF) and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). You need deep, scars-earned experience handling financials integrations with boundary applications, optimizing sluggish SQL or BI Publisher reports, and coordinating deployments with offshore teams. If you can't read an OIC error payload and immediately spot where the data mapping broke down, you're going to struggle here.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to throw a complex month-end integration failure scenario your way, asking you to trace an error through OIC down to the underlying Financials module while explaining your root-cause analysis steps. They want to see if you can methodically isolate whether a bottleneck is coming from network latency, a poorly indexed custom report, or a payload transformation issue in OIC.
Application Advice
When updating your resume for this role, don't just list Oracle Cloud Financials as a keyword; explicitly highlight your experience with PTP, RTR, and OTC modules alongside concrete examples of OIC integrations you've built or troubleshot. Make sure to emphasize your experience working with cross-functional teams and offshore coordination, as the hiring manager is looking for someone who can translate complex technical errors into plain English for business users.
