Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-duty Pega analyst and design role where you will act as the crucial bridge between business stakeholders and technical development teams. If you enjoy mapping complex business workflows into clean Stage and Step models without getting bogged down in endless bureaucracy, this is a solid gig.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend a good chunk of your time leading workshops to extract business requirements and translating those messy human workflows into structured Pega Case Management concepts. Your day-to-day includes defining data models, authoring crystal-clear user stories with strict acceptance criteria in Jira or Azure DevOps, and mapping external REST/SOAP integrations. You will also collaborate closely with QA and UAT teams to ensure what gets built actually matches what the business asked for.
The Core Tech Stack
You need deep, hands-on fluency in the Pega platform, specifically around Case Management, Data Pages, Data Transforms, and Decision/Declarative Rules. Because you'll be dealing with integrations, a solid understanding of API contracts, payload schemas (JSON/XML), and SQL is mandatory. Knowing how to set up RBAC and security groups within Pega will also save you from plenty of architectural headaches down the road.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to present a messy, ambiguous business scenario and ask you to sketch out a Pega Case Type structure on the fly. They want to see how you handle edge cases, data propagation, and SLA definitions under pressure. They are secretly testing whether you can push back on unrealistic stakeholder demands and translate them into maintainable Pega primitives.
Application Advice
Skip the generic project management buzzwords and put your Pega certifications front and center. Your resume needs to explicitly highlight your experience with direct capture of objectives (DCO), Pega integration components, and writing technical user stories that developers actually enjoy reading. Make sure terms like 'Data Pages', 'REST integration', and 'Case Management' appear naturally in your past project descriptions to clear the automated ATS filters.
