Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting Oracle ERP functional role where you'll be parachuting in to untangle complex project portfolio management and grants accounting processes. If you enjoy driving chaotic implementations toward concrete decisions and acting as the definitive subject matter expert, this long-term gig is right up your alley.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days coordinating across various business units to resolve open issues, lead fit-gap analyses, and drive functional configurations for Oracle Projects. Expect to run conference room pilots (CRPs), handle end-to-end user training, and wrangle disparate business requirements into a cohesive system strategy without leaning on micro-management.
The Core Tech Stack
You need absolute mastery over Oracle Cloud PPM and Grants Accounting, specifically Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Management, Project Contracts, and Project Resource Management. Because this ecosystem doesn't live in a vacuum, a solid working knowledge of interacting modules like Payables, Fixed Assets, and Receivables is non-negotiable for keeping the financial data flowing correctly.
Interview Expectations
They are going to grill you on your past implementation strategies, likely asking how you handle scope creep and conflicting requirements from multiple business stakeholders during a critical CRP. The hiring manager wants to see if you can act as a true trusted advisor who pushes back with industry best practices rather than just nodding along to whatever the client asks for.
Application Advice
Make sure your resume screams 'Oracle ERP Functional Lead' right at the top, emphasizing your involvement in at least two full lifecycle implementations. Sprinkle in exact module keywords like Project Costing, Grants Accounting, and fit-gap analysis to clear the ATS, and highlight any past experience where you successfully bridged the gap between technical teams and stubborn business users.
