This is a heavy-hitting Engineer III role where you will essentially own the reporting pipelines bridging ServiceNow, device management platforms, and executive-level Power BI dashboards. If you like untangling messy data sources and turning them into clean KPIs for leadership without getting bogged down in endless status meetings, this 6-month contract is worth a serious look.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your day-to-day will revolve around building, maintaining, and automating advanced reporting infrastructure. You will spend a lot of time extracting data from ServiceNow, Intune, and Workspace ONE, then modeling that data so leadership actually gets a clear picture of compliance, endpoint health, and engineering performance. Expect to write plenty of scripts using PowerShell or Python, set up Power Automate workflows to eliminate manual spreadsheet pulling, and partner directly with security and operations teams to figure out why specific endpoints are dropping off the radar.
The Core Tech Stack
To survive here, you need deep, hands-on fluency in Power BI and ServiceNow reporting, including Performance Analytics. But what really separates a good candidate from a great one here is the endpoint management layer—you must understand how Microsoft Intune or Omnissa Workspace ONE funnels device telemetry. Combine that with your ability to script in Python or PowerShell to glue disparate APIs together, and you have the exact toolkit this client is demanding to get their operational visibility under control.
Interview Expectations
The hiring manager is going to test whether you actually know how to model messy enterprise data or if you just know how to drag and drop charts in Power BI. They will likely ask you how you would handle a scenario where a ServiceNow performance analytics data load times out or conflicts with an external API extract from Intune. They want to see that you understand data cardinality, incremental refreshes, and how to optimize slow-running DAX queries without breaking the underlying service management records.
