Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting Senior Business Analyst role for someone who knows how to wrangle complex requirements without drowning in endless documentation. You'll be the crucial bridge between non-technical stakeholders and engineering teams who just want to build things that actually solve business problems.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Expect to spend your days knee-deep in stakeholder interviews, running workshops, and translating messy business needs into crystal-clear BRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria. You aren't just taking notes; you're actively conducting gap analyses, driving Agile ceremonies like backlog refinement, and managing the chaos of cross-functional delivery. When it comes time for UAT, you'll be writing the test scenarios, coordinating validation, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks before it hits production.
The Core Tech Stack
Your bread and butter here will be Jira and Confluence for tracking, paired with Visio or similar tools to map out intricate process flows and data diagrams. Because you'll be talking to both executives and devs, your documentation needs to be bulletproof. Having a working knowledge of SQL to validate data on your own and familiarity with enterprise visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau will instantly set you apart from other applicants.
Interview Expectations
They're going to test how you handle conflicting priorities between aggressive stakeholders and engineering teams, so be ready to share a specific war story where you successfully negotiated scope without alienating anyone. They will also likely quiz you on your elicitation techniques—be prepared to walk them through how you handle a stakeholder who says they "want everything" but can't articulate their actual requirements.
Application Advice
Your resume needs to scream enterprise-level experience and Agile maturity right out of the gate. Make sure keywords like BRDs, FRDs, requirements traceability matrix, gap analysis, and user acceptance testing are front and center. If you have any industry-standard certs like CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA, put them near the top so the recruiter's ATS flags your profile immediately.
