Job Description & Details
This is a solid full-stack application development role embedded within the Global Markets technology group at Everforth Apex, focused heavily on the QzTrades and Helium trading systems. You'll be bridging the gap between back-end data pipelines and modern front-end components while navigating the high-pressure demands of capital markets infrastructure.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days designing, building, and supporting features that touch both ends of the architecture stack, taking ownership of tasks from the initial requirements all the way to production deployment. Expect to troubleshoot live environments, handle user acceptance testing, and build out robust REST-based services. Because this is tied to global markets, you'll also collaborate closely with stakeholders on regulatory, risk, and business-driven initiatives, meaning your code needs to be resilient and thoroughly tested.
The Core Tech Stack
Python is your primary weapon here for back-end logic, and you'll need a firm grasp of object-oriented principles and NoSQL document databases to handle complex data structures. On the client side, familiarity with modern frameworks like React.js or Node.js is essential for building the user-facing dashboards traders rely on. Having some exposure to relational databases like Oracle or PostgreSQL, plus a basic understanding of cloud-native systems and CI/CD pipelines, will give you a major advantage when dealing with enterprise-grade deployments.
Interview Expectations
Expect the engineering team to test your deep understanding of Python concurrency and how you design scalable REST APIs under heavy load. They will likely throw a system design scenario your way involving real-time data feeds to see how you manage bottlenecks and maintain low latency. The hiring manager is secretly evaluating your ownership mindset and calm under pressure—they want to see that you can troubleshoot a live production bug methodically without breaking a sweat.
Application Advice
Make sure your resume clearly highlights your hands-on backend Python work alongside your front-end experience with React or Node. Don't just list technologies; emphasize specific instances where you took an API or a feature from scratch all the way to production. Weave in keywords from the job description like 'REST services', 'NoSQL', 'object-oriented software development', and 'capital markets' to ensure you breeze past the automated screening filters.
