Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting Lead React Developer role based out of Dallas where you will be expected to own the front-end architecture from day one. You won't just be writing components; you'll be setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and handling the architectural bottlenecks of enterprise-scale web applications.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days balancing high-level system design with hands-on development, writing low-level designs, and making sure your team adheres to strict coding standards. Expect to battle complex state management issues, optimize rendering performance using lazy loading and CDNs, and bridge the gap between product management, UI/UX designers, and backend APIs. You'll also be heavily involved in Agile planning, code reviews, and setting up automated testing pipelines to ensure nothing breaks in production.
The Core Tech Stack
React is obviously the heavy lifter here, but you need deep production experience with advanced state management like Redux and Redux Persist. Testing is non-negotiable, so you'll need a tight grip on Jest and React Testing Library. Because this is a leadership role, you must also be comfortable talking about CI/CD pipelines, real-time error monitoring tools like Sentry or LogRocket, and integrating seamlessly with headless CMS platforms and REST APIs.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring panel to test both your architectural vision and your debugging chops under pressure. They'll likely ask you to design a deeply nested, real-time enterprise dashboard from scratch and explain how you would structure the global state to avoid unnecessary re-renders. The interviewer is secretly looking for your ability to weigh trade-offs between speed-to-market and long-term technical debt, rather than just spitting out textbook definitions. You'll also likely be grilled on how you handle junior engineers who push code that violates performance budgets.
Application Advice
Your resume needs to scream enterprise scalability and leadership, not just feature delivery. Make sure to explicitly highlight numbers and metrics—like how many users your apps supported or how much you improved load times through lazy loading and CDN strategies. Weave keywords like Redux Persist, Jest, React Testing Library, LLD, and CI/CD naturally into your experience bullet points to easily clear the ATS filters.
