This is a heavy-hitting hands-on technical lead role where you will own the entire technical workstream for an Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud implementation in New York. If you don't actually know how to write complex Fast Formulas or untangle messy OIC payloads, you will get exposed pretty quickly. Tidal Impact needs someone who can talk shop with client stakeholders while simultaneously fixing broken inbound/outbound integrations before they derail go-live.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days acting as the primary onsite technical bridge between the client IT teams, offshore developers, and functional consultants. Your core responsibility is designing, building, and troubleshooting custom integrations, data conversions, and complex extracts using HCM Extracts and HDL. You'll be knee-deep in data migration dry runs, system integration testing, and eventually steering the ship through cutover and hypercare without breaking production.
The Core Tech Stack
You need absolute mastery over Oracle Fusion HCM data loading tools like HDL and HSDL, alongside rock-solid SQL and BI Publisher reporting skills. Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) is heavily preferred and basically mandatory if you want to handle the heavy lifting of third-party system integrations. On top of that, writing Fast Formulas and leveraging REST/SOAP web services will be your daily bread and butter for making Oracle talk to external ecosystems.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring manager to throw a complex data migration scenario at you, asking how you would handle a massive volume data load failure midway through a weekend cutover window; they are secretly testing your panic control and methodical debugging skills. You'll also likely get grilled on how you architect asynchronous integrations using OIC versus native Fusion web services, where they want to hear about real-world error handling and retry mechanisms rather than textbook definitions.
