Job Description & Details
This is your standard boots-on-the-ground IT support role where you will be keeping hardware, software, and warehouse devices running smoothly. If you enjoy fixing real physical infrastructure problems alongside software issues rather than just staring at Jira tickets all day, this gig keeps you moving.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend your day handling everything from MDT imaging and PC setups to troubleshooting network hardware and mobile devices. A big chunk of this role also involves maintaining warehouse-specific gear like RF units and specialized printers, meaning you will actually be stepping away from the desk to support physical facilities and local associates.
The Core Tech Stack
You need to know your way around Windows environments, Active Directory, and endpoint management tools like LanDesk. Experience with imaging workflows, Cisco networking basics, and legacy tools like Lotus Notes will keep you from drowning during your first week.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring manager to ask you to walk through a scenario where multiple high-priority support tickets come in at once, such as a warehouse printer going down right as a VIP loses VPN access. They want to see how you triage chaos under pressure. They will also likely test your hands-on knowledge of hardware deployment and Active Directory user administration to make sure you can hit the ground running.
Application Advice
Make sure your resume clearly highlights your hands-on desktop support experience, specifically calling out Active Directory, imaging, and hardware troubleshooting. Weave in keywords like LanDesk, mobile device deployment, and customer service so you easily clear the initial ATS filters.
