Job Description & Details
This is a solid senior-level individual contributor gig where you'll own the design and delivery of complex enterprise systems without getting bogged down by endless management duties. Everforth Apex is hiring for a hands-on developer who can build scalable code, jump into tricky legacy debugging sessions, and naturally guide junior engineers along the way.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Expect to spend your mornings slicing through complex pull requests, architecting new application services, and collaborating closely with product owners and QA teams to make sure things scale gracefully. You won't just be heads-down coding in a silo; you'll regularly weigh in on technical design decisions, untangle tricky production defects, and help steer technical projects involving third-party integrations and cloud environments.
The Core Tech Stack
You'll need a rock-solid foundation in object-oriented programming principles and full SDLC execution, backed by at least 5 years of commercial software engineering experience. Because this is an enterprise environment, having demonstrable chops with modern cloud platforms, CI/CD automation pipelines, and API design/integration strategies will keep you from drowning in the technical requirements.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to toss a complex system design scenario your way, asking you to architect a high-throughput, fault-tolerant service while handling edge cases around latency and data consistency; they are secretly testing your ability to balance pragmatic delivery with long-term technical debt. You'll also likely be grilled on a specific time you troubleshot a severe production outage under pressure, where the interviewer wants to see your methodical debugging process and how you communicate risk to non-technical stakeholders.
Application Advice
Your resume needs to scream enterprise-scale impact, so don't just list technologies—highlight how your code improvements, architecture decisions, or CI/CD implementations measurably reduced system friction or sped up deployments. Make sure exact keywords like "SDLC", "cloud platforms", "API development", and "code reviews" are naturally woven into your bullet points so you easily clear the initial ATS screening.
