Systems Engineer - Senior / AI Platform Engineer

Mindlance

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-duty infrastructure and platform role focused on wiring up enterprise-grade generative AI tools like OpenAI and Anthropic across a massive corporate ecosystem. If you are tired of writing basic CRUD apps and want to tackle the actual operational headache of scaling AI governance, security, and uptime, this one's worth a look.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days owning the lifecycle of enterprise AI platforms—everything from initial deployment and vendor escalation to writing the actual runbooks when things break. You are going to build automation scripts to handle infrastructure provisioning, design data pipelines to pull metrics from cloud APIs, and wrangle user onboarding so that thousands of employees can safely use tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT Enterprise without leaking corporate IP.

The Core Tech Stack

You need deep fluency in Python or PowerShell for automation, alongside a rock-solid understanding of enterprise identity and access management. We are talking Entra ID, SSO, SAML, OAuth, and strict RBAC controls. If you don't know how to secure cloud services and parse logs using tools like Splunk or Grafana, you are going to struggle with the security and monitoring demands of this platform.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring manager to throw a messy incident response scenario at you, asking how you would handle an outage or unexpected rate-limiting from an external LLM vendor like OpenAI while hundreds of internal users are blocked. They want to see how you think on your feet, manage vendor escalations, and protect enterprise SLAs. You'll also likely get grilled on IAM edge cases—be ready to explain how you troubleshoot an OAuth token expiration failure or an anomalous access pattern caught by your monitoring tools.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume doesn't just list generic IT support keywords; lean heavily into your experience with large-scale SaaS deployments, automation scripting, and identity management. Explicitly highlight any past work involving API integrations, data extraction pipelines, or enterprise security controls so the ATS catches terms like 'Entra ID', 'Python', and 'SaaS administration' right away.
