IT Project Manager - ServiceNow (SNOW) Implementations

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a hands-on, high-stakes 6-month contract in downtown Houston requiring full 5-day onsite presence to drive complex ServiceNow implementations. If you thrive on herding cats across disparate business, cybersecurity, and platform teams while keeping strict enterprise timelines intact, this gig will keep you moving. You won't just be updating status decks; you'll be actively shaping the operational backbone for major risk and governance workflows.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day-to-day will revolve around wrestling scope creep, coordinating cross-functional workshops, and driving delivery across three heavy-hitting initiatives: Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery, the AI Control Tower module, and Vulnerability Management. You will be the glue connecting ServiceNow developers, infrastructure squads, and cybersecurity stakeholders. Expect to manage everything from requirements gathering and RAID logs to System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ultimate operational handover without letting timelines slip.

The Core Tech Stack

ServiceNow is the undeniable center of gravity here, and you need deep fluency in its implementation lifecycle, specifically touching risk, resilience, and security modules. You won't be writing code, but you must know the platform well enough to talk shop with architects and developers, understand configuration constraints, and bridge the gap between technical hurdles and business expectations. Familiarity with AI governance platforms, vulnerability scanning integrations, and DR recovery workflows will separate the average PMs from the ones who actually succeed here.

Interview Expectations

The hiring team is going to test your mettle under pressure by asking you to walk through a past project where a critical technical dependency slipped right before a go-live date, forcing you to manage stakeholder panic. They want to hear about your pragmatic approach to trade-offs between scope, timeline, and security compliance. They'll also probe into your specific experience handling ServiceNow module deployments, so be ready to articulate how you bridge technical jargon with executive-level risk reporting.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to scream enterprise project governance and explicit ServiceNow delivery. Don't just list generic Agile or waterfall methodologies; highlight exact keywords from the prompt like 'ServiceNow AI Control Tower', 'Vulnerability Management', and 'Disaster Recovery'. Make sure your metrics reflect large-scale budgets, cross-functional team sizes, and successful end-to-end deployments to easily clear their automated ATS filters.
