Salesforce Architect

NJ TECH INC

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting Salesforce Architect gig for someone who knows enterprise environments inside and out. You'll be stepping in to own end-to-end Salesforce integrations, data migrations, and system reliability for a major client, meaning you need to bring serious battle scars from past implementations. If you enjoy untangling complex architecture and pushing low-code solutions over messy custom code, this one is worth a serious look.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days orchestrating large-scale Salesforce deployments, ensuring that the architecture scales cleanly while keeping custom code to a minimum. Expect to handle heavy integration work—tying in non-Salesforce apps via REST APIs and wrestling with complex data migrations. You'll also act as the technical authority during design reviews, oversee support for multi-org environments, and troubleshoot high-severity system incidents when things inevitably break in production.

The Core Tech Stack

You need absolute mastery over Salesforce enterprise architecture, TOGAF or similar frameworks, and robust integration patterns utilizing MuleSoft. On the platform side, deep familiarity with Apex, LWC, Aura, and Visualforce is required, alongside a strong preference for leveraging native configuration tools like Flows before writing a single line of custom code. Experience connecting cloud ecosystems like AWS or Azure into the mix will also be crucial for your day-to-day success.

Interview Expectations

Be prepared for a brutal deep-dive into your past integration strategies, specifically around handling massive datasets and REST API bottlenecks without dragging down system performance. The interviewer will likely present a messy, tightly-coupled legacy system scenario and ask you to whiteboard a decoupled, low-code heavy Salesforce architecture on the spot; they want to see if you instinctively default to simplicity or over-engineer the solution.

Application Advice

Skip the generic resume summary and put your 8+ years of explicit Salesforce architecture and MuleSoft integration experience right at the top. Make sure to explicitly highlight keywords like 'TOGAF', 'REST APIs', 'Data Migration', and 'Low-code' to clear the automated screening phase, and be ready to talk through exact scenarios where you successfully minimized custom code in favor of native platform capabilities.
