Oracle EBS Functional Consultant

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-duty Oracle EBS functional gig centered entirely around keeping the supply chain machinery running. You'll be deep in the trenches of Order-to-Cash and shipping operations, making sure order processing doesn't bottleneck and warehouses keep moving product. Expect quarterly travel to the client site to sync face-to-face, but the rest of the grind is fully remote.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days waist-deep in Order Management and Shipping Execution, untangling why orders are stalling out between pick release and ship confirmation. You'll act as the bridge between grumpy business stakeholders and the technical teams, writing up functional specs, running UAT, and troubleshooting the inevitable integration breakage between Inventory, AR, and OM. It is a mix of tactical firefighting and structural process optimization.

The Core Tech Stack

You need absolute mastery over Oracle EBS R12, specifically drilling down into Order Management, Shipping Execution, Inventory, and Accounts Receivable modules. If you haven't spent thousands of hours configuring pricing engines, order workflows, and delivery details, you'll drown here. The client relies on this ecosystem for daily fulfillment, so knowing how the tables and modules cross-talk is non-negotiable.

Interview Expectations

Expect them to throw a complex order-to-cash failure scenario at you, asking how you would troubleshoot a stuck order where the pick release failed due to reservation issues. The interviewer is secretly testing whether you know how to trace the data through the underlying Oracle base tables or if you just click around the front-end UI. They'll also probe your stakeholder management style, looking for proof that you can push back on unrealistic business demands without burning bridges.

Application Advice

Drop the generic consulting speak and make sure your resume explicitly highlights your hands-on configuration history with Order Management and Shipping Execution rather than just high-level project management. Keywords like O2C, Pick Release, Ship Confirmation, and AR Integration need to be prominent to clear the ATS. Frame your past contract wins around reduced order cycle times and successful UAT cycles to immediately catch the hiring manager's eye.
