Job Description & Details
This is a boots-on-the-ground EUC Engineer role supporting a heavy-duty manufacturing facility in Stevens Point. You won't just be sitting behind a screen resetting passwords; you'll be actively maintaining plant floor hardware, troubleshooting shop-floor printers, and stabilizing critical infrastructure. If you like a mix of hardware troubleshooting, Active Directory management, and network support in a real industrial environment, this one is worth a look.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend your days bridging the gap between end-users and enterprise IT by managing everything from high-end executive laptop issues to rugged barcode scanners on the manufacturing floor. Day-to-day work involves deploying Windows workstations, resolving network drops, configuring switches, and handling escalated Level 2 and Level 3 tickets through ServiceNow. You'll coordinate directly with global infrastructure teams and external vendors when plant-critical systems throw a wrench in production.
The Core Tech Stack
You need to know your way around Windows 10/11 administration, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure AD like the back of your hand. Because this is a manufacturing site, deep experience troubleshooting Dell or HP hardware, industrial printers, and peripheral scanners is non-negotiable. Add in a solid foundation of networking fundamentals—such as VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and Cisco switches—and you'll have the exact technical toolkit this facility demands.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring manager to throw a scenario at you about a complete network drop right in the middle of a shift, asking how you isolate whether it's a switch, VLAN, or endpoint issue while the factory floor is stalled. They are testing your composure and systematic troubleshooting methodology under pressure. You'll also likely get grilled on how you handle Active Directory and Azure AD object synchronization failures, where they want to hear specific steps on diagnosing replication and auth issues rather than generic answers.
Application Advice
To make your resume stick for this role, drop the fluff and heavily feature exact keywords like Active Directory, Azure AD, ServiceNow, Windows 10/11 administration, and specific hardware brands like Dell or HP right at the top. The ATS screening this is going to scan for hard infrastructure and desktop support terms, so make sure your bullet points emphasize hands-on hardware deployments, printer troubleshooting, and network diagnostics rather than just high-level software support.
