Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting Go-To-Market Engineering role meant for someone who treats Salesforce like a proper software engineering platform rather than just a click-and-configure CRM. You will be building custom backend logic and integrations that directly drive revenue operations for a mid-stage scale-up. If you enjoy bridging the gap between raw code and executive-level sales strategy, this position is worth a hard look.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day-to-day will revolve around architecting complex custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and custom REST APIs to glue disparate systems together. You won't just be taking orders from leadership; you will sit down directly with Sales and Customer Success heads to translate their high-level business goals into scalable technical requirements. Expect to own the entire RevOps infrastructure, meaning you are the go-to person when third-party integrations break, automations fail, or data pipelines bog down the sales team.

The Core Tech Stack

Deep hands-on experience with Apex, LWC, and custom API integrations is non-negotiable here because you are building custom applications from scratch. You also need a rock-solid grasp of both Sales Cloud and Service Cloud platforms, specifically within high-growth scale-up environments where architectural debt accumulates quickly. The team relies on you to write clean, maintainable code that can handle rapid scaling without constant administrative oversight.

Interview Expectations

Be prepared for deep-code architecture questions, such as explaining how you would design a scalable trigger framework in Apex to prevent governor limit exceptions during a massive data import from an external marketing tool. The interviewer is secretly testing your software engineering fundamentals within the constraints of the Salesforce platform, looking to see if you write modular code or just throw quick hacks together. You should also expect a scenario-based question on how you would debug a silent failure in a complex, multi-system webhook integration involving Sales Cloud and a third-party billing tool.

Application Advice

Do not let your resume read like a list of administrative tasks like setting up user profiles or managing page layouts. Your resume needs to heavily emphasize hard engineering metrics, complex Apex solutions, custom API integrations, and direct revenue impact. Make sure keywords like Apex, LWC, REST APIs, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and RevOps Infrastructure are front and center to clear the ATS and catch the engineering manager's eye.
