Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting architecture role where you'll own the integration strategy for massive SAP transformations. If you live and breathe SAP BTP and want to drive clean-core enterprise strategy rather than just writing individual iFlows, this one's worth a close look.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days acting as the technical bridge between complex business requirements and the underlying SAP and non-SAP ecosystems. Expect to design hybrid integration patterns, review custom iFlows, troubleshoot thorny B2B/EDI bottlenecks, and mentor teams. You won't just be coding; you'll be defending architecture decisions to stakeholders and guiding large-scale modernization initiatives from kickoff through hypercare.
The Core Tech Stack
You need absolute mastery over SAP BTP Integration Suite (SAP CPI) and advanced Groovy or JavaScript scripting for custom transformations. Beyond CPI, a deep fluency in API-led architectures (REST, SOAP, OData), event-driven patterns, and legacy-to-cloud protocols like AS2, SFTP, and IDocs is non-negotiable. They are looking for someone who can effortlessly navigate the SAP Cloud Connector and handle complex certificate lifecycles without breaking a sweat.
Interview Expectations
Expect them to probe deeply into your failure-recovery strategies—be ready to explain how you handle idempotency, dead-letter queues, and complex exception-handling paths in high-volume CPI scenarios. The interviewer will likely test your architecture principles by asking how you would decouple a legacy on-premise ERP from a modern SaaS platform while maintaining SAP Clean Core guidelines.
Application Advice
Your resume needs to scream enterprise scale. Make sure you highlight specific numbers around the integrations you've designed, the size of the teams you've led, and your hands-on experience with SAP CPI migrations. Weave in exact keywords like SAP Integration Suite, Groovy Script, SAP Cloud Connector, and EDIFACT so you easily clear their automated ATS filters.
