SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Consultant

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-duty data migration and cutover gig focused entirely on whipping messy asset data into shape for an automotive-adjacent SAP implementation. If you enjoy the nitty-gritty of master data reconciliation and functional locations rather than just drawing architecture diagrams on whiteboards, this role will keep you in the trenches.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day-to-day will revolve around managing complex equipment hierarchies, untangling parent-child functional locations, and fixing broken master data synchronization. You are going to spend a lot of time elbow-deep in equipment master data, handling lifecycle transitions like installations and deactivations, while making sure VIN generation and genealogy tie nicely into MES systems without throwing errors during cutover weekend.

The Core Tech Stack

You need absolute fluency in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), specifically around Equipment Master Data and structure building. Beyond EAM, you better know your way around SAP SD and MM, especially how they touch automotive logistics and VIN genealogy. Familiarity with RICEFW objects and heavy-duty data profiling, cleansing, and reconciliation tools will make or break your success here.

Interview Expectations

The hiring manager is going to test your battle scars regarding cutover execution and data migration failures. Expect them to ask how you handle duplicate serial numbers and circular reference errors in equipment hierarchies during a high-pressure delta migration. They want to hear that you have a methodical, bulletproof approach to data validation and reconciliation when the go-live clock is ticking down.

Application Advice

Skip the generic project management fluff on your resume and put front and center any past cutover war stories you have. Make sure keywords like SAP EAM, Equipment Master Data, functional locations, VIN genealogy, and data migration reconciliation are explicitly spelled out so you sail past the initial ATS filters.
