Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting enterprise HRIS role where you will own and scale the technology backbone powering the entire employee lifecycle. If you enjoy untangling complex HR workflows, building robust API integrations, and turning raw HCM data into actionable insights, this gig offers plenty of genuine technical challenges.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days bridging the gap between HR operations and technical engineering. Your routine will involve designing system integrations across Core HCM, Talent, and Recruiting platforms, optimizing API pipelines, and troubleshooting messy data issues. You aren't just maintaining software; you are architecting workflows that impact onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and global payroll across different geographies without sacrificing user experience.

The Core Tech Stack

You need deep, battle-tested expertise in enterprise HRIS platforms like Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or ADP. Beyond clicking through administrative panels, you must be comfortable writing complex SQL queries to pull and clean data, paired with analytics tools like Tableau or Power BI to build meaningful dashboards. Knowing how to orchestrate data connectors and design secure API integrations is non-negotiable for keeping these massive systems talking to each other.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to grill you on system integration failures, specifically asking how you handle data discrepancies and sync errors between an ATS, LMS, and Core HCM. They want to see how you troubleshoot under pressure, so be ready to walk through a time you wrote a complex SQL query to salvage corrupted HR data. The interviewer is secretly testing your ability to balance technical pragmatism with strict data privacy and security compliance.

Application Advice

To get past the ATS and catch the recruiter's eye, make sure your resume heavily features the exact HRIS platforms you've administered, alongside concrete metrics around integrations you've built or automated. Don't just list Workday or SAP; explicitly highlight your SQL proficiency, data analytics projects, and API experience in the top third of your resume to prove you are an engineer, not just an administrator.
