Product Owner (Manufacturing Domain)

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting Product Owner gig focused entirely on the manufacturing and chemical supply chain ecosystem. You'll be sitting right at the intersection of business stakeholders and tech delivery teams, making sure digital transformation initiatives don't get bogged down in endless alignment meetings. If you like owning enterprise-scale ERP, Order-to-Cash, and supply chain applications from strategy to release, this 12-month contract is worth a serious look.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your days will be spent ruthlessly prioritizing backlogs, writing tight acceptance criteria, and translating high-level digital transformation fluff into concrete user stories that engineering can actually build. You will lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and backlog grooming while acting as the single source of truth for both business leadership and technical teams. Expect to field requests from sales reps, squash blockers, and coordinate smooth software rollouts without having direct authority over the devs.

The Core Tech Stack

You need to bring deep fluency in Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban, alongside day-to-day familiarity with tracking tools like JIRA and Azure DevOps. More importantly, your technical street cred has to live in the manufacturing domain—specifically dealing with ERP systems, Order-to-Cash workflows, Supply Chain management, and Salesforce CRM integration. Without a solid grasp of how these enterprise platforms talk to each other, you'll struggle to map out realistic product increments.

Interview Expectations

The hiring manager is going to test your conflict-resolution skills and your domain knowledge right out of the gate. Expect them to ask how you handle a powerful business stakeholder demanding a feature change halfway through a locked sprint, and they'll be listening to see if you can balance stakeholder happiness with developer sanity. They will also likely drill into your experience with ERP or supply chain integrations, probing for a specific time you untangled a messy Order-to-Cash bottleneck.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to scream manufacturing domain expertise and rigorous Agile execution rather than generic product management buzzwords. Make sure acronyms like CSPO, JIRA, ERP, and CRM are front and center so you easily clear the initial ATS filters. Emphasize metrics-driven delivery—highlight how your backlog prioritization directly improved deployment speed or solved customer pain points in previous chemical or industrial manufacturing roles.
