Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-duty planning and scheduling role focused on large-scale energy infrastructure projects like wind, solar, and substations based out of Juno Beach. You will be sitting at the cross-section of engineering, development, and construction, keeping complex capital projects on track and within regulatory bounds. If you enjoy wrangling massive Primavera P6 networks and dealing with the gritty realities of power plant outages and transmission logistics, this one's for you.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Expect to spend your days knee-deep in schedule baselines, resource loading, and critical path analysis. You'll be bridging the gap between field construction managers and high-level project originators, running monthly variance reports, and leading schedule review meetings where you'll have to pull realistic constraints out of multidisciplinary teams. When emergent issues or power outages happen, you'll be right in the middle of coordinating responses and driving root cause analyses to keep the grid and the project moving forward.
The Core Tech Stack
Primavera P6 is non-negotiable here; you will live inside this tool building, maintaining, and progressing schedules. Beyond software, your core toolkit needs to include deep familiarity with critical path methodology, resource and cost loading, and load forecasting principles. They also specifically require a Six Sigma Yellow Belt, meaning you need to understand process management and operational efficiency metrics right out of the gate.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to drill down into how you handle schedule compression and recovery plans when a major project slips its critical path. They want to hear about a specific time you managed conflicting priorities between stubborn engineers and tight construction deadlines without sacrificing quality or compliance. They are secretly testing whether you have the backbone to push back on unrealistic assumptions and the analytical rigor to back up your claims with hard data.
Application Advice
Your resume needs to scream Primavera P6 and heavy industrial project controls right at the top. Make sure to explicitly mention your experience with critical path method (CPM) analysis, resource loading, and working within the energy or construction sectors. Mirror keywords like 'schedule baselines,' 'variance analysis,' and 'regulatory compliance' so you easily clear their ATS filters, and ensure your background highlights your process improvement capabilities alongside your scheduling chops.
