SAP S/4HANA SD/OTC Functional Analyst

Everforth Apex

Job Description & Details

This is a solid enterprise-level gig focused on optimizing the Order-to-Cash (OTC) lifecycle using SAP S/4HANA. You'll be bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, making it ideal for someone who actually enjoys talking through business processes and turning them into functional system solutions. If you like untangling complex pricing, billing, and shipping workflows without drowning in endless status meetings, this role is worth a serious look.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Expect to spend a good chunk of your time sitting down with business units to figure out why their current OTC flow is bottlenecked, then translating those headaches into functional specs for S/4HANA. You'll be knee-deep in order management, customer invoicing, and pricing enhancements while troubleshooting production fires. When integrations or SAP BTP hiccups pop up, you'll be the one coordinating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to get things running smoothly again.

The Core Tech Stack

You need solid, battle-tested experience with SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution (SD) and Order-to-Cash. Knowing your way around pricing procedures, billing types, and shipping mechanics is non-negotiable. On top of that, having familiarity with SAP BTP, APIs, IDocs, and advanced features like aATP or rebate management will immediately set you apart because the team specifically calls out integrations and complex sales scenarios as key operational pillars.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring manager to throw a scenario your way about a complex pricing or delivery split issue failing in production, and they'll want to hear your step-by-step troubleshooting methodology from root cause analysis to functional fix. They are secretly testing whether you can stay calm under pressure and whether you actually understand the underlying table structures and config dependencies, rather than just knowing how to click around the GUI.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to scream 'SAP SD expert' right out of the gate, so make sure phrases like 'Order-to-Cash', 'SAP S/4HANA', 'pricing procedures', and 'IDocs' are explicitly woven into your bullet points rather than buried in a generic skills list. If you have any background in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or manufacturing environments dealing with intercompany sales, put those front and center to directly match what they're looking for.
