Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-duty platform engineering role where you will be writing Go and Ansible to build out automated cloud infrastructure from scratch. If you enjoy untangling messy deployment pipelines and making cloud environments actually reproducible, you'll find plenty of interesting engineering problems here.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days writing automation scripts, building robust CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring that infrastructure changes don't break production. A lot of the work involves provisioning cloud resources securely, setting up workflow orchestration, and making sure compliance and drift management are baked into the deployment lifecycle rather than treated as an afterthought. Expect to collaborate closely with app dev teams to build API-driven internal tooling that gets features to production faster.
The Core Tech Stack
You absolutely need to know Go for writing custom infrastructure tooling and automation, alongside Ansible for configuration management. Mastery of GitHub Actions is non-negotiable for building the CI/CD pipelines, and you'll need working experience with HashiCorp Vault to keep credential management secure. Familiarity with workflow engines like Temporal will definitely give you an edge since complex asynchronous orchestrations are central to this platform.
Interview Expectations
The hiring team will likely ask you to walk through how you would handle state drift in a massive IaC environment and how you would design a zero-downtime secret rotation strategy using Vault. They aren't looking for textbook definitions; they want to hear war stories about when your automation broke in production and how you debugged it under pressure.
Application Advice
Skip the generic resume summary and put your Go and Ansible projects front and center. The ATS for this role is aggressively hunting for exact keyword matches like 'workflow orchestration', 'secrets management', and 'drift management', so make sure those terms appear naturally in your job history alongside quantifiable metrics about the infrastructure scale you've managed.
