Senior IT Business Systems Analyst

Precision

Job Description & Details

This remote contract gig puts you inside a Fortune 100 enterprise supporting massive program and project workflows on the Planview toolset. It is a classic heavy-hitting business systems analyst role where your success depends on bridging the gap between non-technical stakeholders and complex cloud/data integrations.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days wrangling requirements, cleaning up technical documentation, and running working sessions with subject matter experts who probably speak three different forms of corporate jargon. Expect to spend a lot of time in Azure DevOps writing functional and performance requirements while simultaneously configuring Planview dashboards and tracking boards to keep enterprise leadership happy and informed.

The Core Tech Stack

You absolutely need deep, hands-on experience with Planview Portfolios—specifically around dashboards, reporting, and ideally AgilePlace boards. Beyond Planview, your bread and butter will be Azure DevOps for tracking requirements, coupled with a solid grasp of data mapping, lineage, cloud migrations, and system integrations so you can accurately document gaps and define future-state workflows.

Interview Expectations

The hiring manager is going to test how you handle conflicting priorities from multiple enterprise stakeholders during a tight project migration. They'll likely ask you to walk through a time you had to define success criteria for a messy cloud data integration from scratch, and they are secretly looking to see if you can push back diplomatically when requirements are vague or scope creep threatens the timeline.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to heavily feature the keywords 'Planview Portfolios', 'Azure DevOps', and 'gap analysis' right at the top to clear the automated screening. Make sure your bullet points emphasize actual migration and data integration projects you've driven rather than just listing tools, as they want proof that you can handle complex enterprise environments without hand-holding.
