SAP Source to Settle (S2S) Lead

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a hands-on stabilization and optimization role for an SAP S2S lead who understands the pain of post-go-live environments. You will be stepping in to clean up processes, reduce manual work, and bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days untangling operational bottlenecks across procurement and accounts payable in a complex SAP landscape. Expect to run requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders, map out functional designs for enhancements, coordinate testing phases, and own hyper-care support. A lot of your time will go toward fixing non-PO invoice workflows, vendor maintenance, and stabilizing Ariba integrations without breaking upstream and downstream processes.

The Core Tech Stack

You need deep, battle-tested expertise in SAP S/4HANA with a heavy focus on Procure-to-Pay (P2P), vendor management, and AP operations. If you bring hands-on experience with SAP Ariba and VIM/OpenText, you are at the front of the line. The team also expects you to be comfortable navigating agile tools like ServiceNow or Azure DevOps to manage backlogs and drive defect resolution.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring manager to ask you to walk through a specific time you stabilized a broken AP or invoice workflow in a high-pressure post-go-live scenario, focusing heavily on how you managed conflicting stakeholder priorities. They want to see that you can troubleshoot root causes independently rather than just throwing band-aids at system bugs. They will also likely test your technical grasp of Ariba integrations and how you handle complex interface failures.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to scream SAP S/4HANA Source-to-Settle experience right at the top. Make sure to explicitly include keywords like Procure-to-Pay, vendor onboarding, AP reconciliations, and SAP Ariba so you easily clear the ATS filters. Highlight any specific utility or energy industry background if you have it, and frame your past contract work around measurable wins like reduced invoice cycle times.
