MDM Mobility Engineer

Job Description & Details

This 12-month onsite role in Bentonville puts you right at the intersection of enterprise Android deployments and tier-one client support. You will act as the go-to technical expert for massive device rollouts, bridging the gap between complex hardware capabilities and enterprise mobility management requirements. If you enjoy hands-on troubleshooting and direct customer engagement without being buried in pure software development, this gig offers a great platform.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day-to-day will revolve around managing large-scale Android device deployments, utilizing bulk enrollment pipelines like Google Zero Touch and Samsung Knox. You will triage complex technical queries from enterprise clients regarding Pixel devices, custom chipsets, and Android Enterprise features. Expect to collaborate heavily with internal product and engineering teams, specifically interfacing with Google to fast-track issue resolutions while ensuring seamless integration across EMM platforms like VMware Workspace ONE, Intune, or SOTI.

The Core Tech Stack

You need to live and breathe Android Enterprise, bulk provisioning tools, and at least one major EMM/MDM platform like Workspace ONE/Omnissa, Intune, or SOTI. A solid grasp of the Android OS architecture, developer tools like ADB, and Pixel hardware specifics is non-negotiable because you will be troubleshooting device-level anomalies. Having an Android Enterprise certification will immediately set you apart, alongside a proven track record of handling enterprise-grade deployments in retail, finance, or government sectors.

Interview Expectations

The hiring team is going to test your depth by asking you to walk through a complete end-to-end troubleshooting scenario where a bulk enrollment via Google Zero Touch fails at the provisioning stage. They are secretly looking for your systematic triage process, specifically how you isolate whether the failure stems from the EMM, the network policy, or the device chipset. Another favorite will be explaining how you manage API deprecations or updates in Android Enterprise without disrupting active enterprise fleets, testing your ability to communicate complex technical risk to non-technical stakeholders.

Application Advice

To get past the automated screen, ensure your resume explicitly highlights your hands-on experience with Android Enterprise, Google Zero Touch, and specific EMM tools like Workspace ONE or Intune rather than just listing general IT support. Weave in metrics regarding the scale of device fleets you have managed—mentioning numbers like thousands of devices drives immediate impact. Make sure keywords like "ADB," "triage," "Samsung Knox," and "Pixel hardware" are front and center in your experience bullets to match the exact requirements of this role.
