Job Description & Details
This is a hands-on SAP FICO Analyst gig focusing heavily on public cloud environments and enterprise clients without the headache of full-scale implementations or architecture design. You will be jumping into an established setup where you'll support day-to-day operations, vendor management, and SOX compliance alongside one other SAP peer.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend your days knee-deep in troubleshooting SAP process issues, managing AMS vendors, and helping business units actually use SAP effectively. This isn't an ivory-tower role where you write whitepapers all day; you are expected to roll up your sleeves, talk directly to senior stakeholders, gather requirements, and ensure the integrity of the SAP landscape without needing to write custom code.
The Core Tech Stack
You need absolute mastery over SAP FICO and strong foundational knowledge in Materials Management/Purchasing. Beyond the core functional modules, experience with Public Cloud ERP environments and navigation of strict US SOX compliance in a public company setting are non-negotiable requirements for keeping this infrastructure humming.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring manager to grill you on a scenario where an end-user breaks a critical financial month-end process due to a bad configuration change, testing your ability to troubleshoot under severe time pressure. They are secretly looking for pragmatic problem-solving over textbook theory, so make sure you emphasize your hands-on approach and calm demeanor under fire. You will also likely be asked to explain how you manage conflicting stakeholder priorities between IT and the business units, where they want to see your capability to influence without causing friction.
Application Advice
To make your resume clear the ATS filters, explicitly highlight your hands-on configuration experience with SAP FICO alongside keywords like "Public Cloud", "US SOX Compliance", and "Materials Management". Avoid sounding like an architect or high-level strategist; frame your past roles around operational improvements, vendor management, and long-term stability to show you are the steady pair of hands they need.
