Job Description & Details
This role is a heavy-duty Construction Project Manager position where you will be boots-on-the-ground in Fayetteville, overseeing everything from drawing reviews to complex client proposals. It's a senior-level gig meant for someone who already knows how to herd cats on a job site without missing a beat.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days juggling multiple moving parts—coordinating project teams, approving contracts, and running interference when technical roadblocks pop up. Expect to spend a lot of time reviewing RFIs, talking with production and marketing staff, and making sure the project specs align with the budget. You won't just be pushing paper; you'll actively direct work, manage resource needs, and assess project feasibility on the fly.
The Core Tech Stack
You need to be fluent in reading complex construction drawings and handling RFIs like second nature. Proficiency in Procore is non-negotiable here, as it's the central hub for your day-to-day tracking. On top of that, you'll need a solid grip on MS Project for scheduling, plus MS Word and Visio for reporting and mapping out workflows.
Interview Expectations
The hiring manager is going to test your ability to handle chaos under pressure, likely asking you to walk through a time a project went off the rails due to a delayed RFI or budget overrun. They want to see your problem-solving framework and hear how you manage conflicting priorities between clients and onsite crews. Be ready to explain how you keep quality control tight when deadlines are breathing down your neck.
Application Advice
Make sure your resume screams Procore, RFIs, and drawing coordination right at the top, because the ATS is definitely scanning for those exact terms. Highlight your 10+ years of heavy project management experience, and if you have your PMP or PMI certification, make sure it's front and center to clear the initial recruiter screen.
