Smartsheet Analyst

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-duty Smartsheet Analyst role where you will act as the bridge between technical execution and business operations. If you enjoy untangling messy operational workflows and building clean, automated solutions using advanced platform features, this 6-month contract in Sunnyvale or Atlanta is worth a serious look.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend a good chunk of your day talking to stakeholders, gathering requirements, and turning those conversations into actual functional designs and user stories. Beyond the initial build phase, you will also own the production support grind. This means triaging ITSM tickets, figuring out why automations broke, collaborating with offshore dev teams, and ensuring end-users actually know how to use the dashboards and workflows you create without driving themselves crazy.

The Core Tech Stack

You need to know your way around Smartsheet like the back of your hand, specifically leaning into Premium Apps like Data Shuttle, Dynamic View, DataMesh, and Control Center. They aren't just looking for someone who can build basic sheets; you need deep experience with blueprints for multi-tier program configurations, cross-sheet references, and advanced automations. Solid Excel formula skills and general process mapping tools like Lucidchart will also keep you sane in this gig.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to hand you a messy operational scenario and ask you to whiteboard a Control Center blueprint solution on the spot. They want to see how you translate vague business requests into structured data models while keeping scalability in mind. They will also drill into your production support experience, specifically looking for how you manage conflicting ticket priorities and communicate technical bottlenecks to non-technical stakeholders.

Application Advice

Skip the generic project management fluff on your resume and double down on concrete metrics around automation and ITSM ticket resolution. Make sure keywords like Data Shuttle, Control Center, Dynamic View, and user story mapping are explicitly visible in your bullet points so you easily clear the initial ATS keyword filters.
