Enterprise Content Management Lead

Cynet Systems Inc.

Job Description & Details

This is a hands-on, onsite enterprise content management role based in Houston, focused heavily on keeping massive amounts of technical drawings, submittals, and engineering assets organized through OpenText Documentum D2 and Microsoft SharePoint. If you like untangling complex data migrations, setting up rigid governance models, and being the go-to technical authority for an industrial environment, this contract gives you a direct platform to own the architecture.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days bridging the gap between heavy-duty engineering teams and backend IT infrastructure. Expect to configure Documentum D2 using D2-Config, set up auto-naming and numbering rules, manage metadata schemas, and drive complex data migrations or ETL pipelines using Hexagon SPF or native utilities. You'll also troubleshoot application bottlenecks directly with onsite stakeholders, orchestrate SharePoint-to-Documentum synchronization, and ensure that thousands of critical vendor documents transition smoothly into active operations without a hitch.

The Core Tech Stack

Your bread and butter here is OpenText Documentum D2 (v16.x/v20.x or higher) and D2-Config. You need deep fluency in configuring creation profiles, property sheets, and access control models. On top of that, you must have a solid grasp of Microsoft SharePoint for collaboration workflows, master data management (MDM) principles, XML/JSON configurations, and SQL database structures to keep those cross-platform integrations humming.

Interview Expectations

The hiring managers are going to probe deeply into your practical experience with Documentum D2 configuration profiles and your specific approach to handling massive engineering handovers. Be ready for a scenario where they ask you how you would troubleshoot a stalled ETL pipeline or handle conflicting metadata structures between SharePoint and Documentum. They aren't looking for textbook theory; they want to hear how you diagnose root causes quickly under pressure while maintaining strict data governance.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume strongly highlights your specific version experience with OpenText Documentum D2, along with measurable examples of document migrations, taxonomy redesigns, and SharePoint integrations. Weave in keywords like D2-Config, IAM permissions, ETL pipelines, and metadata schemas directly into your professional summary to easily clear the automated screening filters.
