Customer Success Engineer

Job Description & Details

This is not your average reactive support role; you'll be the technical backbone for enterprise accounts navigating the shift into AI-driven penetration testing. If you know your way around offensive security, can speak to CISOs just as easily as practitioners, and want to help shape an emerging product category, this gig is worth a serious look.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days embedded in enterprise accounts alongside Customer Success Managers, guiding security teams through complex integrations and platform adoption. You won't just be answering tickets—you'll be actively scoping AI pentesting workflows, translating deep vulnerability data into executive-level risk narratives, and holding your ground during tough escalation calls. Expect to bridge the gap between fickle customers and our internal Product and Engineering teams, turning real-world friction into actionable roadmap feedback.

The Core Tech Stack
You need a solid grasp of attacker behavior, exploit chains, and standard security tooling like SIEMs, firewalls, and cloud infrastructure. But the real secret sauce here is deep familiarity with the penetration testing lifecycle—knowing how programs are run, how findings are validated, and how compliance frameworks like PCI DSS or DORA dictate customer behavior. Since the platform touches AI-driven security tooling, you'll also need to comfortably field tough questions regarding scope control, safety, and evidence.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to test your composure under pressure by dropping you into a simulated escalation scenario where an enterprise customer is threatening churn due to a missed integration deadline. They are looking to see if you can balance fierce customer advocacy with internal realism while maintaining executive presence. You'll also likely be grilled on how you explain complex AI-driven security concepts to a skeptical CISO who still relies strictly on traditional, manual pentesting.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to scream enterprise SaaS experience paired with genuine cybersecurity fluency. Make sure you explicitly highlight keywords like penetration testing, attack surface management, enterprise account management, and cross-functional leadership right at the top. Don't just list tools you've used; frame your bullet points around how you successfully drove technical adoption, managed complex stakeholder relationships, and directly influenced customer retention.
