MuleSoft Solutions Architect

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This role puts you at the intersection of enterprise integration and secure cloud infrastructure, specifically building robust MuleSoft solutions inside AWS GovCloud. You aren't just writing basic APIs here; you're tackling compliance-heavy architectures where data security, FedRAMP standards, and system reliability are non-negotiable.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day-to-day will involve designing and supporting API-led connectivity layers—spanning Experience, Process, and System APIs—while managing shared Mule runtimes. You'll spend a lot of time collaborating with security and development teams to figure out how to safely bridge legacy on-prem systems with modern cloud environments without compromising compliance.

The Core Tech Stack

You need deep, hands-on fluency in Mule 4 and the Anypoint Platform, alongside advanced DataWeave skills for complex payload transformations. Because this role touches AWS GovCloud, having a firm grasp of cloud security primitives like OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS, and IAM is just as important as knowing your way around RAML, REST, and SOAP.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to drill down into your experience with shared runtime governance and failure recovery strategies by asking how you would isolate a rogue Mule application impacting cluster performance. They are looking to see if you can balance developer agility with strict enterprise-grade stability. You should also be ready to explain how you handle secure credential management and IAM policies specifically within regulated cloud environments like GovCloud.

Application Advice

Skip the generic architectural buzzwords and explicitly highlight your hands-on experience with Mule 4, Anypoint Platform, and AWS GovCloud right at the top of your resume. Make sure to weave in specific compliance frameworks like FedRAMP or HIPAA if you have them, and explicitly mention CI/CD tooling like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to prove you can automate your deployment pipelines effectively.
