Job Description & Details
This is a specialized consulting role focused on bridging the gap between high-level business goals and actual, measurable AI execution. If you enjoy translating ambiguous corporate problems into rigorous ROI frameworks, business cases, and structured AI pipelines, this gig gives you the platform to do just that without writing production code all day.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days acting as the critical translator between business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical delivery squads. Expect to lead opportunity intake sessions, frame messy business problems into actionable AI initiatives, and build the business cases and ROI models that justify these investments. You will constantly evaluate build-versus-buy trade-offs, wrangle compliance and governance requirements with legal teams, and ensure that once an AI model goes live, its actual business impact is tracked and validated against initial projections.
The Core Tech Stack
While you won't be spinning up neural networks yourself, you need a deep, fluent understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI workflows. The real core stack here consists of financial modeling tools, portfolio management frameworks, and value realization methodologies. You must know how to construct robust ROI analyses, cost-benefit assessments, and KPI tracking mechanisms that survive intense scrutiny from enterprise finance departments.
Interview Expectations
Expect the interviewers to probe deeply into your ability to handle ambiguity and executive pushback. They'll likely ask you to walk through a past project where you had to kill a proposed AI initiative because the value case didn't close, looking to see how you managed stakeholder expectations and financial trade-offs. You should also be prepared for a case-style question on how you would evaluate a generative AI build-versus-buy decision for a highly regulated enterprise, testing your grasp of data governance, risk mitigation, and technical feasibility.
Application Advice
Skip the generic project management fluff on your resume and double down on hard metrics and financial impact. Your resume needs to prominently feature keywords like ROI analysis, value realization, AI strategy, build-versus-buy, and stakeholder management to easily clear the ATS. Explicitly highlight examples where you took a nebulous business problem, designed the evaluation framework, and partnered with finance to prove out the financial return of a digital transformation initiative.
