Job Description & Details
This long-term remote contract puts you right in the middle of cleaning up and scaling a massive fleet of custom AI agents. If you enjoy untangling complex Power Platform environments, setting up strict ALM, and figuring out where low-code hits a wall and Azure AI Foundry needs to take over, this is a solid gig.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your day-to-day will revolve around reviewing existing agents, topics, flows, and connectors to audit them against Microsoft best practices, eventually spitting out a remediation backlog. You'll also take ownership of the environment strategy, setting up clean dev/test/prod pipelines, enforcing governance like DLP policies and data access, and monitoring token consumption, costs, and PII leaks. Essentially, you are taking over the run-and-maintain burden so their internal innovation team can just build stuff without breaking production.
The Core Tech Stack
To survive this role, you need deep, battle-tested experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents) and the broader Power Platform ecosystem including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse. You also need a strong grasp of the CoE toolkit, Entra ID, Purview, and M365 Copilot extensibility. Beyond the low-code stuff, you must know your way around Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Semantic Kernel because you'll be the person advising the team on when to jump from no-code to pro-code architectures.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to grill you on how you handle ALM and governance at scale within Power Platform. They will likely ask how you would design a robust environment strategy from scratch using managed environments and pipelines, and they'll want to hear real-world examples of how you've handled token usage limits, DLP policies, and security boundaries. The interviewer is secretly looking for someone who won't just build cool agents, but someone who understands enterprise risk, data leakage prevention, and long-term maintainability.
Application Advice
When tailoring your resume for this contract, don't just list every Microsoft tool you've ever touched. Put your Copilot Studio, Power Platform admin, and ALM experience right at the top, and explicitly mention keywords like 'Environment Strategy', 'DLP Policies', 'CoE Toolkit', and 'Semantic Kernel' to clear the automated screening. They want a seasoned architect who has fought these platform battles before, so highlight your governance and remediation wins over basic app building.
